Meet the VicSuper Pensions team!
At VicSuper, there are many people who work hard behind the scenes to process all your correspondence, answer your queries, and continually enhance the services offered to you.
We thought we’d take this opportunity to introduce you to some of them.
Lisa
What are you working on at the moment?
One of the tasks I am working on at the moment is ensuring good procedures and processes are in place for our pensions ‘year-end’ project, in which all our pension members receive their Annual Benefit Statement and their annual review letter. Although these are only mailed out later in the year, it takes a lot of preparation!
What’s the first thing you’ll do when you retire?
I think I’ll pack my luggage and travel around the world.
Tell us something that people would be surprised to know about you.
I love my home-grown vegetable patch, and I have just harvested my very first batch of tomatoes.
David
What are you working on at the moment?
On a day-to-day basis I create new accounts, process pension payments and any changes to pension account details. I also respond to requests and correspondence we receive from our pension members – so my days are pretty varied!
What’s your greatest achievement?
My greatest achievement would definitely be becoming a father. My daughter was born in November 2006.
Tell us something that people would be surprised to know about you.
I lived in Japan for a year teaching English. It was a great experience living there and learning about the culture.
Nicole
What do you love about your job?
I find it very rewarding to be a part of the pensions team. We’re constantly working to better our services and help our members and we’ve really seen our pension membership grow – it’s great to be a part of it.
On your weekends, what would we find you doing?
I’d love to say that I do lot’s of new and adventurous things, but mostly I play with my son while he’s pretending to be lots of new and adventurous creatures. Apart from that you’ll find me spending time with my family and friends or trying my hand at redecorating!
What’s the first thing you’ll do when you retire?
Hopefully I’ll be taking care of some grandchildren between my frequent trips overseas and around Australia.
Luka
What do you love about your job?
Being able to help our pension members by answering their queries. I also enjoy tackling more complex projects within my role, such as process improvements, which result in better, more efficient services to our pension members.
Tell us something that people would be surprised to know about you.
I’ve had the opportunity to study in some interesting places, including Sweden and Mozambique.
On your weekends, what would we find you doing?
You’d probably find me somewhere along the Geelong coast, doing some landscape photography.
